Melbourne 2nds met in the Alma at 11:45 for their longest away trip of the season to Lincoln 3rds, the team was very different from previous weeks but still looked strongish with Moari Adam slipping in at tighthead, the towering figure of Nick parkes in the 2nd row and Steve Bell dropping down for a week.

Dronfield 6 v 52 Melbourne 2nds

Melbourne met to travel to Dronfield in the Pennant at 12am as our journeys over the last few weeks have been so disorganized, this time we arrived a good 90 minutes before kick off and, as there were no opposition, drove about Dronfield looking for them only to find we were in the right place anyway and they were just late.

A nigh on full strength Melbourne 2nds went to play Notts Casuals in the Pennant, the only fly in the ointment was Dave Lowson being a complete idiot and programming his sat nav to Meadow Street in the wrong town so 5 players turned up 40 minutes late.

Leicester Lions Vets 26 v 31 Melbourne 2nds

A strongish Melbourne team went down to a hastily rearranged fixture at Leicester Lions with little idea of who we were playing, the Melbourne team was strong with Will Judge back from Thailand and Mssr's Lowson, and Breakwell descending from the 1sts, the backs were also bolstered by a run out for Pete Illot.
