Ian Lucas and Peter Welsh represented the Derbyshire Vets XV on Tuesday night in a game against Nottinghamshire played in rainy and windy conditions at Mellish RFC.
Having beaten Lincolnshire before Christmas, Derbyshire needed to beat Nottingham to retain the 3-Counties title.
Derbyshire scored three tries during a frantic first half and then increased the try tally in the second half to win the game 41:5.
The last game of the season will be the away game to Lincolnshire on the 18th March at Market Rasen.
