The match against Glossop didn't get off to a great
start with the Minxes battling into the rain. However, this didn't stop the
team. The match progressed into a well structured game
with great mauling from Kelsi Butler and pre-planned rooks executed well with
instruction from the captain, Emma Fox. After Bethan Boyse had got over her slight hair
band problem, the game soon went up to two tries to nil both scored off
penalties. After a great break from the half way line Kathryn
Holdgate soon sprinted off to make a well deserved try.
Emma Fox had a great run from half way only to be
tackled by one of the opposition's huge props. Following a kick from Charlotte Crompton, Ashleigh
Aiston (donkey of the day) ran after it and tackled the opposition that had
picked it up, for her to still continue on. Determined to get a try after the
whistle was blown several hours before! After half time a strong maul at half way concluded
in Amy Sheldrake scoring a fantastic try under the posts. Charlotte Crompton's kicking was brilliant that day
as she scored a conversion.
Preventing the Glossop from scoring all second half
the minxes deserved the win 100%.
