Minxes Northampton Tour 2008

An early morning start for the minxes! All the teams clad in silly hats which got the team in the right spirit!

The first stop of the day was in Northampton to be coached by some of the players. This was an extremely valuable session... especially for some players and their flirting skills. The coach and players underestimated the power of the Minxes side and commented on how surprised they were at the skill level.

After that the teams then went onto watch the match between Northampton Saints and Nottingham. The match was excellent and good learning points were seen whilst freezing half to death!

Later that night the Minxes went to the local bowling alley in Northampton dressed as 1980’s pop stars some amazing efforts but the prize went to Emma Fox and Ellie Cook. After major competition between Claudia Shillabeer and Tim Boyse, the girls reigned supreme.

The match the following day against rivals North Kesteven was incredible for the under18’s. Beating the side with some excellent tries from Bethan ,Anna and Amy  and some good mauling up the pitch which then went to tries. Good kicking from Charlotte Crompton and excellent runs from Amy Sheldrake meant the minxes had the upper hand. After some beastly tackles on NK’s star player NK then knew the minxes meant business.

An excellent match and tour and well done to all the girls; an amazing finish to an amazing season!

A big thank you to all of parents and coaches that helped made the tour possible, especially Kerry Ainston who, once again, put together a worthwile tour!
