Seniors' Results

Melbourne 2nds met in the Alma at 11:45 for their longest away trip of the season to Lincoln 3rds, the team was very different from previous weeks but still looked strongish with Moari Adam slipping in at tighthead, the towering figure of Nick parkes in the 2nd row and Steve Bell dropping down for a week. 

Melbourne made the lengthy trip up the A52 to Boston for this Round 3 Junior Vase match. Un-beaten this season so far and with a near full strength side available morale was obviously high.

Melbourne 2nds returned to winning ways in the pennant against Paviors 3s. It was a glorious November afternoon.

A combined 2nd and 3rd team made the short trip to Loughborough to play against Loughborough 4th team, the Melbourne team contained 6 front row and missed a few key players but was not as it proved to be missing as many as Loughborough who only had 13. 

Melbourne met to travel to Dronfield in the Pennant at 12am as our journeys over the last few weeks have been so disorganized, this time we arrived a good 90 minutes before kick off and, as there were no opposition, drove about Dronfield looking for them only to find we were in the right place anyway and they were just late.

A slightly changed 2nd team made the short but confusing journey to Uttoxeter. No longer trusting Sat Nav, we were all presented with a set of incorrect instructions that meant we were all lost. 

A nigh on full strength Melbourne 2nds went to play Notts Casuals in the Pennant, the only fly in the ointment was Dave Lowson being a complete idiot and programming his sat nav to Meadow Street in the wrong town so 5 players turned up 40 minutes late. 

A strongish Melbourne team went down to a hastily rearranged fixture at Leicester Lions with little idea of who we were playing, the Melbourne team was strong with Will Judge back from Thailand and Mssr's Lowson, and Breakwell descending from the 1sts, the backs were also bolstered by a run out for Pete Illot.
