Seniors

Melbourne Rugby Club is a friendly but competitive club, based in South Derbyshire. Many of our players come from Melbourne itself, Chellaston, Shelton Lock, Derby and surrounding villages.

We field three senior teams regularly:

• The 1st XV plays in the Midlands 5 East (North) League;

• The 2nd XV plays in the Nottinghamshire Security Plus Pennant League Group 2;

• The 3rd XV plays friendlies against teams around the East Midlands. 

Training

Training takes place twice a week at the pitches on Cockshut Lane, Melbourne:

• Monday 19:00 - 20:00 - Fitness Training

• Thursday 19:00 - 20:30 Skills Training 

Newcomers are welcome to come along and get fit and/or join the club. 

Get Involved

If you would like to get involved in the playing side of Melbourne RFC, there are two things you can do:

• Come along to training and introduce yourself to the Coach.
  

• Contact the 3rd XV Captain - the 3rds are always on the lookout for new players of any ability. Even if you have never picked up a rugby ball before and wheeze every time you climb the stairs, you are still welcome to come along. Click Here for Contact Details
