This match was played in good conditions over two halves of 25 minutes.

The first half was dominated by Newark whose backs again posed us major problems. Despite some good tackles and drives by us the visitors ran in four unconverted tries, with no response from us.

The second half started with us going on the attack with William Butler running in for our first try, converted by J.P. Unfortunately Newark scored almost straight away before scoring two further tries later on in the half, in between which William Butler went over, following a good run from J.P., again converted by J.P.
